BELGRADE, PRISHTINA, NOVI SAD -- CeSID's latest turnout figures: 32.7 percent.

Center for Free Elections and Democracy says that 32.7 percent of eligible voters have cast their ballots by 2 p.m.

CeSID director Zoran Lučić says 1.5 million people must take it to the polling stations by 8 p.m. in order for the constitutional referendum to succeed, assuming that those who vote will support the proposal. He said that on the first day of the vote an average of 1.35 percent of the electorate voted each hour, while today that number stands at 2.15 percent.

- Update: 17.81% of Eligible Citizens Voted Today

Belgrade, 28 October 2008 - KosovoNews/Beta - The Serbian Republican Election Commission, during its press conference at the end of voting day declared that so far, 17.81% of eligible voters came out to the polls. According to this commission, 18.95% of eligible voters voted in Central Serbia, 14.65% in the northern province of Vojvodina, and 21.01% in Belgrade.

The polls closed at 8:00 PM.

Belgrade, 28 October 2006 - KosovoNews - After weeks of being a targeted by a furious government sponsored media campaign that went as far as sending SMS messages from to individuals, citizens of Serbia with the right to vote will have a chance to vote for or against the new Serbian constitution. The new document would define Serbia as an independent state for the first time since 1918 and replace the constitution of former dictator Slobodan Milosevic, drafted in 1990 as Yugoslavia began to disintegrate, but it also contradicts itself by declaring Kosovo an integral part of Serbia and not allowing Kosovo's non-Serb residents to vote on it.
