Prishtinë, 29 August 2007 - (Kosov@News) - “Slovenian PM Janez Jansa guaranteed to me that he would work hard within the EU (during the upcoming Slovenian presidency) towards reaching consensus on Kosovo’s independence, adding that if the EU fails to be united on this, Slovenia will be one of the first EU countries to recognize our independence,” Slovenian state TV quotes Kosovo PM Agim Ceku as saying. 

Serbian Daily "Politika" reports that Jansa’s office has neither dismissed nor confirmed Ceku’s statement.
