Prishtinë, 27 August 2007 - (Kosov@News) - The meeting on the 30th of August in Vienna will probably show clearly the differences between Serbia and the West writes Zëri.

During the first meeting the Troika's goal would be to clarify to the Serbian delegation and to the Albanian one afterwards, their position and their mission for the next four months.

According to some diplomatic circles the next meeting in Vienna will not run the way it was expected, reports Zëri.

Belgrade negotiating authorities have tried publicly but also in other forms to let the Troika know that Belgrade wants to know from the beginning how the additional talks will develop, what are the “terms of engagement”, what is the fate of Ahtisaari’s package, what happened to the 6-point proposal by Belgrade that was sent to the countries of the Contact Group, before the Troika came to visit Belgrade and Kosovo.

Because of these not cleared issues, Belgrade will not sent President Tadic and Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica to the Vienna meeting this time.

The four politicians that will represent Belgrade in the next meeting are: Slobodan Samardzic (Minister for Kosovo), Vuk Jeremic (Foreign Minister), Marko Jaksic (Leader of the Kosovo Serbs in the North) and Goran Bogdanovic (Kosovo Serb politician).

Zëri reports that the Serbian delegation will probably not be authorized to give answers to the two issues asked by the Troika, Kosovo status and the future relationship between Kosovo and Serbia, but will  insist to clarify the “terms of engagement” of Belgrade in the next 120 days.
