Belgrade, 30 August 2007 – (Kosov@News) - Prime Minister of Serbia, Vojislav Kostunica stated on Friday that Serbia is still analyzing different models of reaction, in case the “worst result” of status solution is that Kosovo Albanians unilaterally declare independence.
“If someone damages you, you have to revenge with the same means, regardless of circumstances. This way you protect the integrity and dignity of your state,” Kostunica is quoted as saying. Kostunica has noted in a press conference in Belgrade that Serbia’s position is significantly different from Kosovo’s, as “one side respects the United Nations Charter and the other does not”. Kosovo’s self-determination is considered the last chapter in the dissolution of Yugoslavia that started with Milosevic’s illegal suspension of Kosovo’s Autonomous Status in 1989. |
