Prishtinë, 31 August, 2007 – (Kosov@News) - Family members of the missing persons in Kosovo protested on the international day of missing persons and sent a message to the local institutions that the waiting is coming to an end.

With grief and tears in their eyes, the families marched in front of the main institutions in Prishtina.

The UN SRSG Joachim Rücker said that even though it is not a relief, the number of missing persons has reduced and added that together with the institutions, family members of missing persons and also with all citizens of Kosovo and Serbia have to do more, so that there is no waiting anymore.

Deputy Prime Minister, Lutfi Haziri has stated that in the new talks the negotiating team will have as the first  priority the discussion about  the fate of missing persons, while with a special request  through the Troika, pressure has to be put on Serbia to cooperate and offer data about missing persons.  The protesters also marched in front of the RTK (Kosovo Public Radio/Television) building to request more airspace in the RTK scheme for the missing person’s issue.
