Even after drawing criticism from Kosovo, Mr. Mustafai is still talking about some limited form of independence

Paris, 28 February 2006 - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania Besnik Mustafai announced that he was supporting finding of a compromise between Serbs and Albanians for the Kosovo’s statute that could take up the form of independence but with limited sovereignty, he stated for the French newspaper Figaro.

Besnik Mustafai is on two days visit in France and is going to have talks with his French counterpart Philippe Doust-Blazy and the topic will be the final status of Kosovo with predominantly Albanian population.

The Albanian government has been continuously criticized by the population of Kosovo for 'not doing enough' to help Kosovo become independent.
