Prishtinë, 10 October 2006 (KN) - If Serbia arrests and extradites Mladić by November, Serbia could expect a postponement of the resolution on Kosovo’s future status until parliamentary elections in Serbia. This is what the U.S. administration has told Serbia's Boris Tadić during his last visit to the United States.

According to a source close to the tob Serbian official, Tadić's American host stressed that Mladić must be delivered to The Hague by mid-November, when Martti Ahtisaari is expected to suggest the Kosovo final status solution to the UN Security Council.

Although the Serbian government has denied this, the recent remarks by some European officials are indirectly supporting this claim that Serbia has promised to arrest Mladić by November.

Meanwhile in Kosovo, the nervousness of the residents has begun to rise.

"Why does the fate of over 2 million people have to depend on other country's war criminals and other country's constitutions?" was the question of Zana, a Prishtina student. Even though she seemed concerned, she acknowledged that "the world is not stupid to allow Serbia to rule Kosovo again".

Although promises were made in the past by Serbia, especially with the cease-fire accords in Croatia and Bosnia, it looks like we will have to wait and see if this one will be broken as well.

Kosovo's 2 million residents have unanimously voted for independence in the referendum held in early 1990's, however the independence has not been recognized by any other nation.

In the last three months, Serbia has began a furious campaign against Kosovo's Independence. Public Relations “Firm Barbour Griffith & Rogers” will receive $60K a-month to aid with this campaign, according to the contract, which was signed by Serbia's Minister for International Economic Relations, Milan Parivodic. The contract runs until January 2009.

Another addition to their campaign are the organized Christian Evangelical groups in the United States.  In a meeting with Mr. Pat Robertson, a known evangelist, facilitated by "Venable, LLP", another firm hired by Serbia, Kosovo's Serb Bishop Artemije asked for help in preventing the "creation of an Islamic state in the Balkans", referring to Kosovo.

Serbia's destruction of churches in Croatia in 1990's was not a topic of discussions during the meeting with. No information is available about any "tax-free" amounts contributed by Serbia through Venable, LLP to these groups.
