Prishtinë, 12 october 2006 - Belgian Foreign Minister and the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Karel De Gucht has assessed that Russia’s invitation for the implementation of unified standards and universal models for the resolving of the conflicts in both Kosovo and former Soviet Union republics is unacceptable.

De Gucht told Russian News Agency Interfax that frozen conflicts in Aphasia, Southern Osetya, Nagorno-Karabakh and Pridnyestrovle had their unique characteristics, as well as Kosovo. Those conflicts reflect different situations and circumstances, which makes the invitation to unified standards unacceptable, said De Gucht.
