Belgrade, 28 October 2008 - KosovoNews/Beta - The Serbian Republican Election Commission, during its press conference at the end of voting day declared that so far, 17.81% of eligible voters came out to the polls. According to this commission, 18.95% of eligible voters voted in Central Serbia, 14.65% in the northern province of Vojvodina, and 21.01% in Belgrade. The polls closed at 8:00 PM.
Representatives of the Republican Election Commission reminded the citizens that they can still vote on the next day, until 7:20 PM. They also stated that the ballots will be guarded by multi-partisan teams, and the observers are welcome to spend the night with them for monitoring purposes. |
