Prishtine, 30 November 2006 - Kosov@News - Kosovo Daily Koha Ditore reports that the next UN Secretary General Ban Ki Mun has stated that he doesn’t expect another delay of presenting the proposals on the future status of Kosovo. He expressed his hope that the 21 January deadline will be respected and that President Ahtisaari will submit his proposals to Pristina and Belgrade.
The next UN Secretary General made these remarks after a meeting he had with Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu in New York. President Sejdiu was quoted as saying that Ahtisaari’s document should respect the will of the people of Kosovo, namely independence, and that this would ensure peace, stability and economic development. |
