7 February 2007 Prishtine - Kosovo Telecommunication Agency (KTA) announced yesterday that the Kosmocell Consortium, comprising two local companies, Dukagjini and Kujtesa, and an Italian-American company, successfully bid to become the second mobile operator in Kosovo.
Kosmocell Consortium outpaced the competition by biding 81 million euros for the license. Other companies that took part in the bid were a consortium, comprising IPKO Net and Telecom Slovenia, Mobilkom Austria and Team Kosova, as KTA announced. Money gained through the sale of mobile operator license is one of the largest investments in Kosovo made by a private owned company in 2007. |
